Visiting Abuelita (grandma)

In keeping up with our promise I made last month of spending more time with our loved ones the kids and I packed up the car and headed up to abuelita's house for the weekend.  She was so happy to have us visit and the kids were so excited to be at her house.  As soon as we got there we headed up to the pool and swam with her.  It was the perfect way to cool off after the long drive and the hot day July had produced.  I even felt comfortable dipping Nathaniel in the water.  He had so much fun imitating the movements Olivia and Kaleb were making while swimming.  He kicked his feet, and splashed his arms around.  Olivia and Kaleb both made friends while swimming and thus my mom and I were able to spend some one on one time with each other and Nathaniel.  It was perfect!

Pool fun!

After lunch we went to Kids Concept a fun kid play area that I used to take Kaleb to when we lived in Torrance.  Olivia spotted the dress up and karaoke machine and she performed various songs and of course Nathaniel joined.

Then the kids played in the various areas, the kitchen, the train table, and the big play structure. It was amazing and surprising that Nathaniel kept up with the big kids and climbed around the structure with a little help.  Kaleb found some older kids and ran around chased and wrestled with the kids.  It was a great way for the kids to get some energy burned.  By the end of the evening I was the most exhausted.  When we were getting ready for bed at abuelita's house we got to watch the fireworks from her porch that were being set off from the Home Depot center.  It was a perfect way to end such an exciting day.
