Birch Aquarium

Today we packed up early and headed to Birch Aquarium for some sea life learning adventure.  We picked up Carson, one of Kaleb's buddies to join in on the fun.  The kids enjoyed the tadpoles and touching as many sea creatures as possible including starfish, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, and many more creatures. We also went through the various fish tanks and taking pictures of all their favorites.  The funnest part of the day was the news broadcast.  This is where there is a separate boxed area to "record" a short one minute news report about the weather and climate change.  Carson, Kaleb and Olivia all gave it a try a few times. On two separate occasions the boys had intruder interruptions in the middle of their recordings.  The first incident was when a clueless older women walked behind Carson while he was "on the air" reading his report.  The lady stopped right behind him, stared at the camera and then just looked around.  The funnier part was that Kaleb and I were watching outside of the recording studio on a separate t.v. cracking up and Carson just kept his composure continuing on with his report.  Then another similar incident happened to Kaleb but it was harder for him to keep his composure.  He actually got really upset at the older lady.  The boys cracked up far after the events happened, and they even talked about it on our way home.  It was a fantastic day full of learning and fun!
